Log Out: Ending Your Session

For your own security, you should Log Out when you have finished using mc², or when you leave your computer. Use the link which appears at the top right of any screen (if you're currently logged in). Once you have done this, nobody else can use your identity at mc² to submit messages or alter content. They will need to Login again as themselves. This is a security measure to protect your privacy.

If you are using a public or shared computer, you may also wish to clear the history and close your browser window when you leave the keyboard. For more details, see: using a public or shared computer

For security purposes, you will automatically be logged out after approximately 2 hours of inactivity. To resume usage, just login again. This provides a level of security, e.g. for shared locations, where other users could access your data or operate as you online, if you leave the machine unattended for a period of time, and have forgotten to log out first.
