RE:Dung beetles and defoliation

Hi, I'd have thought it more likely gum leaf beetles on defoliated gum trees. As far as I know dung beetles only eat dung. More often than not some type of caterpillar or sawfly larva are usually the cause of defoliated eucalypts. Regards, Dennis
