| RE:Dung Beetles that breed in sheep manure | From: Belinda Pearce
 Date: 16/10/2008 | Hi Richard
Welcome to the e-forum and thanks for your entry.
Unfortunatley I am not aware of any detailed information on which dung beetle species are likely to bury sheep dung in your part of WA.
The beetles that were brought into Australia by the CSIRO were selected on their ability to bury cattle dung. I have read and heard however that many species will work in sheep dung. I am also aware o0f trials being conducted in northen NSW on the ability of dung beetles to control Barber's pole worm in sheep through dung burial. So there are definitely species that will work in sheep dung.
You may like to contact the Dept. of Ag in WA or perhaps try Associate Professor Ian Dadour (Universiwty of WA)who was involved with a range of dung beetle projects in WA. His e-mail is: ian.dadour@uwa.edu.au
Good luck!
